Efforts towards Micro

In 2003, we produced the LZ-2501IP, an ultra-high-performance printing machine based on a granite surface plate, and achieved fine line printing of L&S=10μm, which was said to be impossible with screen printing at the time. However, because this printer used many special parts,
this resulted in an expensive printing press and was not a device that could be used for mass production. So the next step was
to repeat experiments to enable fine line printing even with our standard printing machine (LS-**) and make improvements to the printing machine; as a result, mass production of various fine line patterns can now be achieved simply by adding optional functions.

In the print samples No.17 to No.25, although the lines are fine, screen printing's characteristic
thick film has been realized.
・Thickness/Width: The 10μm pattern is printed smoothly without disconnection or constriction.
・Common mode coil patterns with a width of 15/20 μm can be printed with an aspect ratio (height: width) ≈ 1.
・Assuming a package that requires a complex wiring pattern and mixes fine lines and large-area printing,
  even in that pattern, the fine line is 20 μm and the film thickness is almost constant 13 μm.

In addition to improving the printing press, we tried various printing methods to improve the fine line printing technology, and now the fine line printing method has been established by contact printing + detachment mechanism + coating technology + squeegeeing technology. Of course, with the cooperation of plate makers and paste makers, we have improved screen stencils, various gauze tests, improved paste = change of ingredients, change of mixing ratio of viscosity adjustment composition, improvement of thixotropic properties, etc. has come to fruition.
