~Which do you prefer, hard or soft?~
One of the features of screen printing is that it can be printed with a variety of inks.
Especially in screen printing, we are good at hard ink.
Well, what kind of ink is "hard ink"?This image differs from person to person.

One day, Mr. A was holding his head in front of the screen printer because he couldn't print. When I asked about the situation, I was told that the ink on the plate dried up quickly and could not be printed.
After printing one sheet, the plate was cleaned, and after printing one sheet, cleaning was repeated, and the printing did not progress. The ink used is the ink used for nameplate printing, and is generally printed with a low viscosity (10 Pa.s or less). Think of this kind of viscosity as if you tilted the can containing the ink, the ink would immediately flow out.
Printers often refer to this kind of ink as "ink like water".
Now, looking at the ink Mr. A was printing, it was a hard ink, and it didn't look like it would flow when the ink can was tilted. The viscosity of the ink was probably more than 50Pa.s. It seems that it could not be printed for that reason.
Therefore, the author added a diluting solvent to dilute and soften the ink. Seeing this, Mr. A let out a loud voice.
"I can't print if it's this soft!! It's like water!"
The writer asked Mr. A to print it out, saying, "This is fine, try printing it." The result is of course a beautiful print. Mr. A was surprised to see the situation. Why was this so.
I dare to write for Mr. A's honor, but Mr. A is a printing veteran. However, conductive printing...
Actually, there was a pitfall here.
Most of the inks used for conductive printing are hard inks. As for how hard it is, it's hard enough to hold a can of ink upside down. Is it about 50 to 100 Pa.s in terms of viscosity?
Mr. A was good at printing with hard ink, so he had no experience with soft ink.
The opposite is also true. People who mainly print nameplate ink are not good at hard ink. If you try to print conductive ink, you will probably dilute the ink.
If the conductive ink is thinned, the printed film thickness will be thin and the conductivity will be poor.
Are you a "hard ink" or "soft ink" type?
